Paige turned 3 today and we celebrated at My Gym. The kids had a wonderful time running and jumping. Paige even went down the zip line.

Sean's Birthday

Today is Sean's 5th birthday. Boy, times sure does fly. Seems like yesterday we were just bringing him home from the hospital. Today we celebrated with a monster truck party at Burger King with 26 of his closest family and friends. We sure did miss Uncle Jeff, Aunt Val, and Will. My house now runneth over with monster trucks!

Another of our summer past times - Putt Putt. We all went (except Jim) to play Putt Putt. We had a good time and Chris kick everyone's tails. He got 5 hole in ones. I keep telling him that if he would practice golf and not bowling that I could be a stay at home Mom who's kids go to daycare/school. Ha Ha!

Catching sand crabs at the beach

We took the kids on a crab hunt at the beach. Sean said that was to coolest thing that he did all weekend. It was fun reliving our summer past time. As a child, we would go crab hunting every summer. I tried to convince Alex and Blake to take all of the crabs back to the beach house and put them in the bed with their Daddy. They quickly nixxed that idea. This crab is the biggest one that we caught.

What is that saying, "When the Moms are away, the boys will play"? As you can see, the boys got lots of playing last weekend on their boy trip to the mountains. I think that Pop spoiled all the kids by giving each of them a pocket full of money and all the McDonalds that they could eat. They had a good time.

The kids and I fixed a little fall decoration for the front yard. We have hay, pumpkins, mums, Indian Corn, and a scarecrow. The kids are having fun rearranging the pumpkins. Let's just hope that no one steals our display.

Whirlwind trip to Texas

Jeanette, Kellie and I made a whirlwind trip to Texas to see Will on Thursday. We had a wonderful time playing pass the baby and visiting with Jeff and Valerie. I only wish that we had more time to spend with them. But the quick trip was worth it. Will looks so much like Jeff did as a baby and he loves to snuggle in and have someone hold him while he sleeps.

The first day of school

Sean had his first day of "real" school on Monday. He started PreK. He is in a class of 20 kids. His class is very similar in setup to the one that he was in at St. Luke. He has already made a new friend whose name is Noah. Sean is excited that he gets to eat in the cafeteria with the big kids. Much to his Daddy's disbelief, Sean informed us that not all of the Lunch Room ladies are fat and ugly. But that they do wear hairnets. Long story, don't ask!

Paige moved to a new room also. Some of her best friends moved up with her and she also has new kids in her class. She is having fun being able to play on the big kid playground.

I am happy to say that Jeff and Valerie's baby boy has arrived. William James Perkins arrived today at 3:37 pm (Texas time). He weighs 8 lbs and 2 ozs and is 20 1/2 inches long. Pop says that he looks like Jeff did as a baby. Hopefully pictures will follow soon.

Sean Shooting Clays

Sean had fun over the weekend shooting sporting clays at a friend of Chris's. Mr. Todd helped Sean shoot. He got his first one with the first shot. He is going to give all the hunters in our family a run for their money. Watch out Pop, Uncle Jim, Uncle Jeff, Alex, Blake, and Uncle Ken.

Thanks to Mema and Pop, the grandkids have a new ride. Sean and Paige are trying real hard to break it in. Too bad, Alex and Blake are a little too big for it. I know that Kellie and Will will enjoy it as much as Paige and Sean have (even though we just picked it up today). The Hummer will be making it's Blakely debut soon.

Sean, Pop, and I went fishing this morning. Sean had a wonderful time catching "tons" of fish. Pop and I had a good time watching him get so excited. Pop found the "sweet spot" in the pond and everytime they casted, they caught a fish.

We has spent the day playing in the sun. We went to the park for a birthday party for 2 of the Miller cousins. The kids had fun playing on the playground and feeding the "evil" ducks and geese. You better run when you have your last piece of bread because the geese will try to eat you. After getting home, the kids wanted to play outside in the sprinkler.

Paige and I have been under the weather this week. I took Paige to the Dr on Tuesday for a sinus infection. Chris and I have to take turns holding her down to get her to take her antibiotics. I went to the Dr on Thursday morning. Apparently, I was dehydrated. The Dr said that my heart rate was 131 so they gave me an IV at the office which brought my heart rate back down to 80. I also got a shot of antibiotics in my booty(which hurt)! I was sent home after making the promise that I would drink lots of fluid (drank a whole 64 oz bottle of orange gatorade - yuck!). I went back to the Dr this morning because my throat was hurting worse. My heart rate was back up over 100 but I talked the Dr out of giving me another IV. That was not any fun. Anyway, I am beginning to feel better now that the antibiotics have kicked in.

Well, I am in trouble. I have been reminded that it has been a week since I put an entry out on the blog. Sorry, we have just been busy with work and school. We made a whirlwind trip to Blakely on Friday night. We had dinner with Mema, Pop, the Braswells, and the rest of Blakely at Griffins. Sean and Paige got to see oysters being shucked. What excitement!! We went to Mema's and had strawberry shortcake for dessert and caught up on the Braswell boys. Sean helped Mema pick up pine cones and earned some money for his efforts. Chris and Pop did manly things like welding and riggin' the trailer to haul carpet home.

Sean and Paige have pictures this week at school. Hopefully Miss Prissy won't lay in the floor this time.

St Patrick's Day

Mema and Pop joined Sean and Paige this morning for breakfast at school. I know that the kids had a wonderful time. We took sausage casserole, mini muffins, fruit and donut holes to school. Needless to say, I had my hands full trying to carry all of the food and get two kids across the road. The only thing that could have made Grandparents day any better would have been for Grandma Joyce and Grandpa Chuck to have been there too.

Mema and I had a good time shopping today. We found some summer clothes for the kids and I found 2 dresses on clearance. I love a bargain. Both dresses together were $32 after taxes.

We are looking forward to Jeanette and the kids coming down tomorrow. Kellie is going to have her picture made in Grandaddy Bill's Christening gown. Then hopefully we will have the girls' picture mad together.
